Local butcher in his shop located on Manger Street in Bethlehem.
Butcher shops have big wide doors and are open to the streets, thus making it easier to see what’s inside. This photograph was taken on the way to Hebron. Apparently camel is only cooked and eaten in Hebron. It’s not a prevalent practice throughout the West Bank. Of course seeing the camel this way is bizarre and photographing it was spontaneous and couldn’t be missed.
